So they are genetically mutated to be bigots and "white supremacist" – what’s the matter the "genocide" argument showing some holes?   How many Kossovars have to be killed for it to be genocide?  How many killed make it a civil war? How many do we have to kill for them to call us genocidal maniacs?

Why don’t the gun grabbers go to Kossovo to live, I’m told there’s lots of empty land and
only the GOVERNMENT has guns – so you’ll be real safe.

- Pig Hired After Felony Abduction Conviction -

COP ACCUSED OF BRIBERY
                           WAS HIRED DESPITE
                                       RECORD

                    By Jennifer Vigil
                    Tribune Staff Writer
                    May 30, 1999

The Chicago police officer charged last week with bribery pleaded guilty
15 years ago to felony charges stemming from the abduction of his child
in a custody dispute, department officials said.

Dennis McMurray was hired even though police officials were aware of
his record, police spokesman Pat Camden said Saturday, but subsequent
changes in department policy would not allow such a hiring today.

"If you have a felony conviction, you won’t be hired," Camden said.

The changes took effect in January 1996, almost a year after McMurray
was hired by the Police Department. Those tougher standards were
revised again in February 1997, Camden said.

McMurray, 45, an officer assigned to the Shakespeare District, was
charged Tuesday with bribery and official misconduct after he allegedly
accepted a $50 payment from an undercover officer outside a North
Side nightclub, authorities said. McMurray has been suspended.

He is accused of asking for money from the owner of La Estrella, 2521
N. Milwaukee Ave., in exchange for not issuing tickets to cars parked
illegally outside the establishment, authorities said.

The owner notified police, and Internal Affairs investigators arranged
for
a detective to pose as one of the owner’s friends and witness the
alleged
payoff, authorities said.

At an appearance in Columbus Park on Saturday, police Supt. Terry
Hillard said McMurray’s arrest was an example of the department’s
commitment to rooting out corruption in its ranks.

McMurray received two years’ probation in 1984 after his conviction on
charges that he took his child while in a dispute over custody
arrangements.

The department was aware of the guilty plea, Camden said, but elected
to hire McMurray in spite of his record because he had no other criminal
convictions.

"When he was hired they looked at each case individually and he was
hirable," Camden said. "Since then there’s been an audit of standards
and
he’s an anomaly."

Camden said the department would not examine the records of sworn
officers for felony convictions.

Officials looked into the backgrounds of 13,500 officers two years ago
after the passage of a federal law that bans those convicted of domestic
violence from carrying firearms.

No officers were found to have been convicted of a domestic abuse
charge, Camden said. The records were not searched for other types of
convictions.

- Pigs Ignore Limos -

‘STRETCHING’ THE PARKING RULES
                                IN SOHO
                  By JESSE ANGELO

SoHo residents are seeing rouge as cops turn a
blind eye to limousines flouting parking laws
                 outside the ultra-chic restaurant Balthazar.

Residents of the parking-poor neighborhood can’t
leave their cars in front of the French eatery
overnight – but a never-ending stream of limos
illegally idles until the wee hours of the morning
                 while their well-heeled passengers dine.

In a two-hour period last Wednesday night, The
Post watched as a total of 18 officers – including
four traffic-enforcement agents – failed to ticket or
shoo away limos waiting in the "No Standing"
                 zone outside the bistro.

One of the officers finally enforced the law after
                 being confronted by a reporter.

"It’s outrageous, it really is. We used to be able to
park there but now we can’t – somehow the limos
are allowed to just sit there," said Denicea Davis,
                 who works in the area.

Spring Street between Broadway and Crosby
Street was a quiet little stretch of asphalt until
restaurateur Keith McNally opened Balthazar in
                 1997.

Residents used to be able to park on the street on
                 weekends and weekdays from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.,
but increased traffic from the restaurant congested
                 the street at night.

In February 1998, the city Department of
Transportation put up signs saying "No Standing 6
p.m. – 6 a.m., including Sundays" on both sides of
                 the street.

Residents were willing to forgo their night parking
spots for a little peace and quiet – but the
                 limousines kept coming.

"The fact is that the chauffeurs are there all the
time," said resident Minerva Durham, who added
that clients of her drawing studio have been
                 ticketed for parking there.

One chauffeur confided, "We never have any
problems. The cops never make us move."

A cop walking the beat that night finally told the
drivers of waiting limos and taxis to move on his
second tour around the block – but only after
being pressed about the parking regulations.

"I try to show them a little courtesy, give them a
little leeway, but if they see me they should know
                 better," the cop said.

Capt. Stephen Spataro, commanding officer of
the Fifth Precinct, said he had not received any
complaints about the idling limos, but would make
sure the parking regulations are enforced in the
                 future.

Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar, said he was
                 not aware of a problem.

"I can’t quite see what problems the limousines are
causing, apart from the unsightliness of limousines
                 to begin with," he said.

"But if the limousines are causing a problem to
anyone, especially the neighbors, I will certainly
try and do something about it."

Well, yes. End government handouts.

But first stop taking our taxes claiming to use it to
take care of those who need assistance.

Go out and get some real jobs, instead of money managers
for the government extortionists.

Subject:
Drug War

A War Which Never Wins.

A major factor in violence is the U.S. drug problem. It costs
millions-probably billions-to sustain the losses from thievery, medical
treatment of those injured by drug induced violence, the cost of AIDS
infection from prostitution to support habits, prosecution of a war that
never wins and to incarcerate pushers and addicts for possession and sale of
drugs. When gang members or other addicts are on a high, the feelings of
personal power promote aggression. The drug provoked paranoia can view
anyone as an oppressor The result is random drive by and parking lot
murders. In most of such killings, the victims may be randomly selected
targets of opportunity, but there is evidence that some victims have been
preselected and scouted for the chance to kill them. Victims may be randomly
selected, but the action of cruising and killing them now comes across as
premeditated and systematic.

The solution to the drug problem of the U.S. and to mitigation of its
violence is to take the profit out of drug dealing. Legalization alone is
not the answer. Criminal organizations would still exploit drug trafficking
as they exploit many legal activities by subterfuge and terrorism. The only
workable means to take the profit from drugs is for the federal Methadone
clinics to distribute heroin, cocaine and marijuana at cost to those who ask
for such. If all of the addictive elements of these drugs can be
synthesized, they need not be purchased from drug lords in South America and
southern Asia. The number of federal drug clinics would be expanded to
accommodate the increased influx of users. The clinics would still offer
treatment to those wanting to "kick their habit." However, acceptance of
treatment or of counseling would not be a condition of access to the low
cost drugs. Treatment, counseling and even identification would be voluntary
on the part of the user. The clinics would also dispense sterile syringes
free or at cost to inhibit the spread of AIDS. All entrants to the clinics
would be offered screening for AIDS. By identifying a large majority of AIDS
infected users, our efforts to control the spread of AIDS would be enhanced.
Although there would be many medical, economic and social advantages to such
a program, there will be opponents to it including the drug producers and
distributors. The major reason for opposition would be that it’s immoral to
condone drug use and that it would create more users. The latter is
specious: anyone who wants a fix can get it right now in the current
situation. The present "drug war" promotes usage in that the tremendous
profits from drug dealing create an army of pushers who ensnare new users.
These dealers operate everywhere including the fringes of elementary and
high schools. The young user does present a problem, but once hooked and
then "cleaned" recidivism is 95% or more. Most users of hard drugs will
eventually backslide and destroy themselves if we don’t help them as much as
we can This includes availing themselves of the services and drugs of the
clinics. Informing parents of a juvenile who comes into a clinic is a sticky
wicket. The young user would be encouraged to tell parents of their problem.
If the youngsters are denied drugs they continue to be a source of profit
and of new users as they deal to support their habit. By law the parents
would not be informed. By  public education they will discover their
children’s usage by themselves. They can then enter the counseling program
with their offspring. Without profit there will be few pushers, although
there will be those who will tout their product as heavier than that
available at the federal clinics. Such dealing would be insignificant
compared to the present gross trafficking. There would be ugly scenes of
drug parties in parks, but abiding such would bring the benefits of the
program and give the partiers help to survive and produce or to catch them
when they fall.

I probably don’t need to mention that introducing, or voting for, bills
you dislike is actually evidence that she _has_ been performing her
duties.  Just not the way you want her to.

I think they like me too much. I certainly hope they do. They invited me to
their ng. If they tell me to go I will. They would not like a suburban
censorship kook such as yourself. They have taken part in our little
debate. Where is this spam you were talking about? Put up or shut up.

Well us.config has me for life then and news.admin.censorship was an
invite. Are you saying I am not allowed to post to those NGs? Henrietta you
tried to annoy me and you hit the bullseye so you can hardly complain about
it.

Did you think that just maybe these guys come from a culture with a zero

that you can be very certain.

Thanks for speaking up.  If this debate is Henrietta vs. the world,
then it is pretty much intractable, but one of the goals (and to some
extent the reality) of us.* is that it is more than just Henrietta.

We’ll make it through somehow.
