David,
Although you are apparently not an American, you just said, very well as a
matter of fact, what the most of us are saying and thinking. Your post just
went into my personal archive file!
Thank you,

Enter Stage Right is a conservative journal with an
unorthodox perspective. We don’t mix religion and politics
and we don’t believe in freedom and individualism as half-
hearted principles. We are opposed to government
interference in our private lives and the economy. ESR
promotes laissez-faire capitalism. The magazine itself does
not support any particular political party, and then is
therefore free to support *anyone* who shares our
philosophy.
We’re a little weekly non-profit journal and we hope you visit
us. We don’t mind submissions if you’re interested in writing

I wonder if *other* rock’n'roll stars with *similar* urges to brandish

brandishing one of the offenses detailed under Oregon’s Measure 11?

Genetically Modified food
Genetically modified food is the latest in the concerns for middle
Americans. If we have mega farms that pollute the groundwater with the out
of proportion waste and all other kinds of chemical spillovers, why
shouldn’t they be allowed to alter our food as well? We can then produce
the food cheaper for the masses. The people in the upper 1% and the CEO’s
of these companies will not be eating at McDonalds or other fast food places
anyway. This of course is bound to take care of the Social Security problem
as people will not live as long as before. Look at someone like Michael J.
Fox. And I know many that are of really young ages compared to prior cases
that have come down with health problems that used to only effect the
elderly. Look around where you live and start to wonder why far more young
people are coming down with cancer and other illnesses. Business has this
figured out, we the masses are all expendable, just like the worker ant
who only lives for the Queen.
Moderation is often used in the Bible. It is hardly ever used in Capitalism
gone out of control. Elect a new congress, your guy is part of the
problem. Very few of them are worth keeping. If you have any doubt, don’t
vote for that office at all. Then their opponents will win if they are good
enough and good third party candidates will have good chances to become the
congressmen that we want.

Tying the bell around the neck of the Chinese cat
The Israeli sale of surveillance aircraft, together with U. S. Secretary
of Defense Cohen’s "protests", must be very satisfying to the Chinese
leadership. I wonder if they understand how the Western Communists do
things. Selling such sensitive equipment to China under "protest", when
the Israelis are nothing but puppets of Washington (and I speak from
personal experience in this matter) only means one thing: The aircraft
come equipped with monitoring devices that provide information to those
under surveillance by the aircraft.
The Israelis are putting a bell around the neck of the cat and then
selling that bell to the cat.
Whoo, the local comrades here in Florida are _angry_ at me for
letting the cat out of the bag. I must say, they are probably
right to be angry. When you hear the rumors that have been
coming to me, about Zhiang having a secret bank account at a
CIA-controlled bank in the Bahama Islands off the U. S. coast,
and of his plans to "retire" to a villa in the tropics at a
convenient date. If what I hear is right, he is going to make
a state visit to the U. S. or Canada, and he will be replaced
by a U. S.-trained Zhiang lookalike who has a terminal medical
condition and will be returned to China to have that condition
"discovered".
And, that, dear Chinese Comrades, is why Comrade Zhiang is
pretending not to notice that the AWACS aircraft from Israel are
a special design with embedded programming and microprocessors
which are the analogs of the bell that the cat wears around her
neck.
Now, that’s really odd. When I think of Chairman Zhiang, and I rarely
do, I get a picture of him in cool sunglasses on board one of those
"sport-fishing" boats somewhere in the Caribbean Ocean, or perhaps
in the Mediterranean near the islands off of Greece. I see him reeling
in a swordfish with great gusto.
That’s what I call a really serious Communist sport, this fishing in a
specially-equipped boat. Why, I’ll bet all the Communist leaders go out
sports fishing in the China Straits near Taiwan, or off the coast of Hong
Kong. Or, maybe it just isn’t as much fun to do this as when you can
dress up like a completely decadent Westerner, with baseball hat and
beady-eyed sunglasses to show your social rank, in some completely non-
Chinese setting.
So, who covers for Zhiang when he is away from the telephone, I wonder?
Does some secretary answer for him and say he is in an urgent meeting?
Did you see today’s news? Chairman Zhiang "discovered" a party leader
by the name of Cheng who, it is said, was taking bribes. How many of
you believe that? Chairman Zhiang "discovered" someone who was
expendable and wasn’t giving him enough bribe money to continue in
politics. He then used Comrade "Expendable" Cheng as a scapegoat (excuse
the Westernism) to cover up for his own philandering.
Now, Chairman Zhiang, you think you can go back to your fishing boats and
your afternoon trysts away from your office again, eh? How long before
one of your subordinates resents you enough for not giving her enough
bribe money, and blows the (figurative) whistle? I think "blowing the
whistle" is still an OK expression after America’s Monica Lewinsky got
over being the proverbial whistle-blower.

NATZI GOVERNMENT MUST BE STOPPED
Now everyone who disagrees with the above statement read this next sentence
VERY CAREFULLY:
Lazaro(Elian’s uncle) has NEVER said he would NOT let the Feds have Elian.
Lazaro said that _he would not actively BRING Elian to them_, but he would
stand by and hand Elian over "with tears in his eyes" if they came to
remove him.
There WON’T be any resistance by Lazaro or anyone else in the family, this
has been made clear. So why hasn’t the media reported this? Every US media
opinion and report seems to closely follow Castro’s propaganda, warning
about "armed men guarding Elian", and the "imminent violent confrontation".
This govt/media propaganda effort has actually been sucessfull in provoking
violent "anti-Elian" nuts to visit the Gonzales home who scream about the
boy being "held hostage" in America… Ask yourself, why is Reno setting the
family up for a violent confrontation like this?
—————————————————————————-
————————————————————
A few days ago CNN’s Judy Woodruff was casually commenting on these "armed
men" guarding Elian when a field reporter informed her that they didn’t
actually exist, and noone around the Miami home had ever seen them. Yet in
watching live coverage this morning only 1/2 hour after the raid was over, a
female CNN reporter was STILL inquiring as to whether this group of
mysterious "armed men" guarding Elian offered the INS any resistance. The
sad fact is that the only violent armed men there were Reno’s goons.
It remains to be seen if the propaganda will hold. The fisherman who
rescued Elian who was in the house with him at the time of the raid was
shown briefly on live TV, lamenting the violence of the raid, saying that
all they(the Feds) had to do was wait for him to get Elian up and to the
door…
Cuban Crisis III

=| Subject: Cuban Crisis III

A terrible ‘mistake’ was made by Eisenhower (‘R’) in 1956, over the
Suez affair, even though Britain and France proposed handing the Canal
over to an international authority which would guarantee access to the
world’s shipping. Instead, the US supported an Arab Nationalist,
whose doctrine of "National Self-Determination" was emblematic of the
worst error in political doctrine of the 20th Century. Eisenhower
explicitly supported Fidel Castro’s seizure of power in Cuba.
At the same time, however, Eisenhower refused Frank Wisner (Deputy
Director, Plans, CIA) permission to release the "stay-behind" arms
caches to the Hungarian Resistance. This decision destroyed Frank
Wisner’s life, and he shot himself after being subjected to massive
electroshock "treatment" at Fletcher Pratt Memorial Hospital.
As Wisner said to Fitzgerald afterwards: "If you knew what you’d
done to me, Des, you’d never be able to live with yourself."
Cuban Crisis: 0
In all essentials, the battle for Cuba was a public relations
campaign, fought in New York and Washington. Earl Smith, appointed
Ambassador to Cuba in 1957, was told: "You are assigned to Cuba to
preside over the downfal;l of Batista." Once in Havana, however,
Smith grasped that a Castro victory would be a disaster for America,
and he sought to prevent it. Washington, however, continued to arm
Castro while denying arms to Castro’s opponents, as of 1958. Castro
had around 3 000 followers. (Eisenhowere - ‘R’ ) was in power from
1952-1961. (Paul Johnson, ‘History of the Modern World’, [1983]: my
personal copy is inscribed by the author).
"What goes around, comes around"; and before long, America was
entangled in South East Asia. Neil Sheehan’s book "A Bright Shining
Lie" spells out this appalling tragedy in all its majesty and despair.
Some of my friends call me "The only living Englishman who still
supports what America was trying to do in Vietnam." I guess that’s
kinda true. >:-}
I recall so well reading John Paul Vann’s comments on the War at that
time. My Great-Aunt Dene Smith worked at the American Interests
Department of the Foreign Office under Oliver Franks (later to be
chief of MI6). She introduced me to Barry Goldwater’s politics. Her
husband had been Hawley Armistead Smith, who worked with the State
Department as Consul, and served with the US Army. Dene and Hawley
are buried at Arlington National Cemetary, as is John Paul Vann.
When John Paul Vann died, I knew that America’s war was finished.
He was indeed the one irreplaceable American in the War.
I had no confidence whatever in Nixon (‘R’) and Kissinger (‘R’), who
_sold out the Western cause to the Soviets_ in Paris in 1973.
This _broke_ America’s dependability as an ally. We all knew that.
We must thank CIA for bringing Nixon himself down, before he took the
whole Western cause down with him. Anyone who believes that a "beat"
police officer will arrest and charge active CIA operatives in the
Watergate building is living in a fantasy world, and will believe
absolutely anything. Anyone who beleives that Woodward & Bernstein
were dogged "investigative reporters" will believe anything, too.
DDP Richard Helms denies it all, of course.
Well, he would, wouldn’t he? >:-}
"It was the policy at the time to get rid of Castro, and if killing
him was one of the things that had to be done … we felt that we were
acting well within the guidelines … Nobody wants to embarrass a
President … by dicussing the assassination of foreign leaders in his
presence." — Richard Helms, in Congressional testimony.

Admiral Noel Gayler, whom I respect above all living Americans, and
who I’ve been privileged to talk with on several occasions (we share
an interest in nuclear disarmament) commanded the American withdrawal
from South East Asia in 1975 as CinCPAC. Frank Snepp’s book "Decent
Interval" gives some idea as to the problems he confronted, given
Kissinger’s _indecent_ haste to leave those who had supported
America’s cause to the tender mercies of the Communist enemy.

John G. Schmitz was a State senator for California; a Congressman for
Orange County; and a Presidential candidate. He was (like Larry
McDonald, whose killer is now the Chief of the Russian General Staff)
a Chairman of the John Birch Society, an ideological "mixed blessing"
which still provided much of the impetus for the founding of Heritage.
It is fair to say that Mr. Schmitz’s politics and mine are sharply
divergent on some issues. His oldest son, John Pat Schmitz, is
married to the sister of Governor Jeb Bush’s wife; and John Pat
Schmitz served as President Bush’s Personal Aide in the White House,
in the post of Deputy Secretary for Legal Affairs. In that post, he
handled the residual Iran/Iraq/Contra problems for President Bush.
I’d read John G. Schmitz’s Introduction to Gary Allen’s "None Dare
Call It Conspiracy." In 1997, I went to the defence of Ms. Mary Kay
Letourneau, the Seattle school-teacher who is presently serving seven
and a half years imprisonment for doing rather less than John Paul
Vann did. Her "crime" and her "conviction" are wholly unConstitutional.
She’s John G. Schmitz’s daughter. She has spent eight of the past
twelve months in "Super-Solitary", deprived of all direct daylight, no
radio, no TV, no wrist-watch, 23 hours a day, seven days a week. All
this, for the high crime of daring to "communicate" with the father of
her two youngest children. She has been deprived of all contact with
her four oldest children, quite deliberately, and her youngest
daughter is only now able to see her occasionally. Her daughter
Audrey has been kept from her for the past 2 1/2 years. Her children
have been irreparably damaged by this barbarous malpractice.
Is this not exactly the sort of thing we were fighting _against_ in
the Cold War?
Come and see: Imaginary crimes (women cannot "rape" males); Enforced
"psychiatric" treatment? Forcible administration of "Depakote", an
_anti-epileptic_ drug that (according to the University of California,
San Diego [1997]), destroys religious experience itself by attacking
neural cascades in the frontal lobe of the brain?
Practices straight from the "coerced compliance" manuals of Fidel
Castro’s Cuban regime. "Welcome to Havana", America …

Cuban Crisis I
The ‘Bay of Pigs’ fiasco
========================
When the ‘covert’ action by America to smash Castro’s government was
under way, Kennedy deliberately left Adlai Stevenson, America’s
Ambassodor to the UN, out of the planning loop. Quite wisely, Kennedy
just didn’t trust him. CIA’s private air force proceeded to take out
all but two planes in Castro’s entire air force. When news of the
invasion of Cuba broke, Stevenson swore blind to the world that the US
had nothing whatever to do with it (this was preposterous, of course,
but Stevenson actually seemed to believe it himself).
And the world believed Stevenson.
So Kennedy _changed his mind_ and _cancelled_ the operation…
Kennedy _cancelled_ the scheduled air-strikes from the two US Navy
Aircraft Carriers stationed conveniently outside Cuban territorial
waters. the Captain of the USS ‘Boxer’ said to his pilots (who were
on the flight deck, fully kitted up, with their planes fuelled and
armed and all ready to go, to take out _Castro’s entire governmental
infrastructure_ – microwave communications centers and towers;
police offices; Cuban army barracks and vehicles; everything):
"If you want to fly the mission, I won’t stop ypu." A brave man.
On my living-room wall, I have an 8 x 10 colour glossy photo of an
SR-71 "Blackbird" in USAF cover markings, in serene high flight,
signed — just for me — by Richard M. Bissell, jr., who served as
Chief Economist to the Marshall Plan and as Deputy Director, Plans,
among other leading roles. A true American Hero).
Richard Bissell was CIA’s officer commanding the attacks on Castro.
After Kennedy botched the [1961] attack, he summoned bissell to the
Oval Office and told him this:
"Under a Parliamentary system such as they have in Britain, I as Prime
Minister would be resigning now, and you — as a civil Servant —
would be stating. As it is, this is the United States, and _you_
will be resigning." ("Reflections of a Cold Warrior", by Richard M.
Bissell jr., publ. Yale [1996]).
President Clinton may care to remember those words when discussing
Reno’s future after her Dawn Raid on Elian n his home in Little
Havana with Louis Freeh, the (former?) Director of the FBI …
