It is about time the Cuban boy was returned to his father. This should have

Pity the British Army wasted so much effort murdering women and

these payoff jobs??? Before you vote for your current congressmen again and
before you attend a stockholder meeting. Ask yourself if you would vote a
pay raise that was over $100 million if you too were getting a million for

stupid statistics that are beyond belief. He talked some numbers that
ranged from 70 to 90 % favorable for ex GI’s and there take on the war and
whether they would serve again even knowing the result. What a damn liar.
He also obviously didn’t take the vote of any that voted with their
lives…… And I would ask this dimwit what he would say to veterans that
are half dead from Agent Orange and other illness caused by their service as
they get subpar care from a VA that only seems to care about having their

STRANGE BEDFELLOWS: CHINA AND ISRAEL

The first-ever visit by a Chinese head of state to Israel last week
seemed at first glance rather curious. China, a longtime political and
military supporter of the Arabs and Iran, used to denounce Israel as a
`running dog of US imperialism’ and `a racist-fascist state?’ So what
was President Jiang Zemin doing hobnobbing in Israel?
Jiang had two objectives: a. deepen the secret 20-year military
relationship between China and Israel; b. by openly befriending Israel,
counteract growing anti-Chinese feeling in Congress that threatens both
China’s exports to the US, and its admission to the World Trade
Organization. . .
The normally pro-Israeli Clinton Administration, however, is not
pleased. William Cohen, the US Secretary of Defense, recently unleashed
an unprecedented public blast at Israel for selling advanced military
technology to China that could threaten American forces in the event of
a clash with China over Taiwan.
Cohen demanded Israel cancel the US $1-2 billion sale of 3-5 AWACS
airborne radar aircraft to China. Israel refused, though it may only
sell China one of the Russian aircraft equipped with an Israeli
`Phalcon’ advanced radar/electronic warfare system, developed from the
US `Hawkeye’ AWACS system, at least until the heat subsides
Former CIA Director James Woolsey testified Israel has covertly sold
`several billions’ of dollars worth of top-secret US technology to
Israel since 1983. The Inspector General of the US State Department
found, in a 1992 report, a `systematic and growing pattern’ of Israel
selling American military technology in direct violation of US law.
That report concluded Israel was supplying arms based on restricted
American technology to China, Chile, Ethiopia, and South Africa, all of
whom then under US arms embargo.
The Pentagon has claimed since the mid-1980′s that Israel simply copies
or reverse engineers secret US defense technology and then exports it –
even on occasion, its is whispered, to Russia. Until now, Israel’s
influential friends on Capital Hill managed to downplay or cover up
these serious charges.
The transfer of billions worth of advanced US military technology to
Israel, under the innocuous title of `Technical Data Packages,’ was
arranged by Israel’s American supporters, beginning in 1970. This
massive infusion of secret US weapons and electronics technology- the
largest ever to another nation – allowed Israel to develop state-of-the
art military industries that exported some $1.5-2 billion annually (40%
of its total exports by the late 1980′s), and which became the nation’s
largest employer. Israel is now the world’s sixth largest arms exporter.
In somecases, Israel improved on US weapons and electronics systems.
Pentagon sources charge Israel `backdoored’ US technology to China for
the Patriot AA missile, other surface-to-air missiles; the PL-8
air-to-air missiles; C-802 anti-ship missiles; advanced composite tank
armor and tank guns; aircraft avionics and ground radar systems; and the
J-10 fighter, which is based on secret US technology used in Israel’s
cancelled `Lavi’ fighter. Israel denies these charges. A Pentagon
investigation of the Patriot sale, cleared Israel. Critics charged it
did so under intense political pressure from Israel’s supporters.
Israel insists its high-tech arms exports are all 100% of Israeli
origin. But American defense claim the Israelis often only make minor
modifications to basic US-supplied technology and weapons, then sell
them clandestinely.
Israeli intelligence agents are known to have targeted specific advanced
US defense technology.
Israel has also sold considerable quantities of arms, electronics, and
US technology to Taiwan, including a reverse-engineered US Lance
missile, and anti-ship missiles. Singapore is another major recipient of
Israeli arms and discreetly co-produces weapons with Israel. Israel has
become a major military supplier to India, including nuclear weapons and
missile technology.
Ironically, some of Israel’s arms and technology sales have returned to
haunt the Jewish state. This column learned in 1994 that nuclear
technology Israel had bartered for enriched uranium to South Africa, was
resold by South Africa to Iraq in exchange for oil. Iraq’s infant
nuclear program, designed as a counter-force to Israel’s nuclear arms,
thus originated, in part, from Israel. Missile technology sold by
Israel to China found its way into tactical missiles sold by China to
Iran, Syria, and Iraq, and, reportedly, into CSS-2 ballistic missiles
sold by China to Saudi Arabia.
American defense and state department officials are furious at Israel
for so flagrantly violating the US embargo of high-tech arms to China,
particularly as tensions between Washington and Beijing rise. There
have even been angry demands in Congress for the value of the Israeli
AWACS aircraft sold to China to be deducted from the $3-5 billion in aid
Israel receives annually from the US. Fears are being expressed that US
technology for Israel’s new `Arrow’ anti-missile system, developed with
nearly $1 billion in US aid, may also be sold to China.
Israelis claim their weapons sales to China motivate Beijing to keep a
leash on its ally, North Korea, which, says Israelis, ships missiles to
Iran and the Arabs. Russia remains China’s main arms supplier. Sales
by Israel keep Russia and China apart, say Israeli partisans. Nonsense,
retorts the Pentagon. But in an election year, New York City is far more
important than China. So Israel will probably only get its wrists
slapped – if that.

How long are the simpletons in Congress going to Parade the overblown
champion of Big Business, Alan Greenspan, in front of their fellow
ignorant congressmen. I have never seen as many supposedly grown men make
fools of themselves over double speak than with Greenspan. It might be good
to require all congressmen to take Jr High Economics before they are allowed
into congress. This morning a caller to Cspan, a small businessman, is
calling in to wonder why Greenspan is raising rates. Darren Gersh of
Nightly Business Report is trying to field these comments and not doing much
of a job with it because he is on the side of the exploiters. The
businessman is talking about how things were fine for him until Greenspan
started raising the rates and then along came the oil sham. So now a fine
business is starting to go under. He has higher financing costs on both his
home and his business and now higher fuel costs. His employee complains
about the same problems and so he needs a raise. So the caller wonders what
the purpose of raising the rates on interest is all about. Well what these
people don’t understand is that this is how the economy works when it is
championed for the rich. Although it is hardly apparent to most people,
indeed the pie can only get so big. You only need to consider if you were
the only person in the world that controlled farming. After a while if you
were providing the maximum amount of food possible to be consumed, then
production beyond that point would actually diminish your return. You would
either have to balance your production or look to other uses of your food.
Now an economy can sustain itself under those conditions but when greed
rears its ugly head you start running into problems and it is powerful
enough to destroy entire worlds. And when you allow one force to expand out
of the food business into dominance of all business you have created a
kingdom, not a democracy.
For those that don’t want to understand this, just look at a simpler
example. The Oil business itself. When an industrialized world becomes
dependent on Oil, look at what the countries whose economies are made from
mostly the oil business are like. They could and have wanted to control the
economy of the world. What stops them??? Might, and/or a sense that to
have a world worth having, some reasonable sense of fair play or justice
has to prevail. Greed left uncontrolled or unchallenged would have the
Asian countries all sitting on Thrones and all other countries doing their
bidding.
Yes, we all need to take a look at the people that we elect to congress if
we want a country that is worth having. We may not have any great
economists in congress and don’t really need many of them, but we do need
honest and fair men that would govern for the good of the majority and the
country first. Partisanship has to be third or fourth as their priority,
behind the country, the states, the overall good of man and justice, and
then maybe parties. We can have the type of world we would all like but not
without some moderation and electing those that have the above priorities
of this paragraph as what they hold dear.

Insight uncovers FBI Director Freeh’s alarm that private detectives hired by
Clinton intimates tracked at least one big-time scandal donor. More backup
tapes have been found.
In the furor about campaign fund-raising tactics used by the Clinton-Gore
reelection committee there have been denials, corrections, waffling and
tortured legalisms to explain sometimes-bizarre efforts by Bill Clinton and Al
Gore to raise money for themselves and the Democratic National Committee, or
DNC.
The Justice Department’s Campaign Task Force has been investigating
possible crimes and both FBI Director Louis Freeh and his former deputy,
Campaign Task Force head Charles LaBella, repeatedly urged Attorney General
Janet Reno to seek an independent counsel because of a pattern of suspected
wrongdoing by Gore and other high White House officials.
Now Insight has discovered previously unknown DNC telephones inside the
White House complex, billing records for which may shed additional light on
fund-raising issues still under investigation. Installation of these phone
lines could be a violation of federal laws that prohibit the mixing of
political and government services on government property, say legal experts.
Insight also has learned of the existence of more unknown backup “tapes”
of virtually every White House employee’s computer. In fact, there are nearly
900 archived external-storage devices containing these materials. And most
never have been revealed to federal investigators and/or were not searched or
inventoried by the White House as required under subpoena throughout the
Clinton-Gore scandals.
These backup “tapes” include, for example, information copied by
external drives and technicians from computers once used by Billy Dale (the
former White House Travel Office director), Leon Panetta (the former White
House chief of staff), Craig Livingstone (the former White House security
director) and Harold Ickes (the former White House deputy chief of staff). Some
of the “tapes” are secreted within the White House complex, while others are
stored at an off-site facility in Greenbelt, Md.
The House Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Dan Burton of
Indiana, has conducted numerous hearings and obtained thousands of records from
federal law-enforcement investigators detailing potential crimes committed at
the White House by a variety of government and political figures, including the
president and vice president. Burton is furious at what he regards as
out-and-out obstruction of justice.
As Insight reported April 12 on its Webwire (www.insightmag.com), a
House Judiciary subcommittee chaired by Rep. Charles Canady, a Florida
Republican, now also is looking to obtain previously unknown memos from Freeh
and LaBella related to their ignored calls for an independent counsel. After an
April 13 meeting of his subcommittee, Canady struck a bargain with the Justice
Department to delay issuing subpoenas pending further talks with Reno’s senior
aides, including Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder. But the pot is boiling.
As Congress continues to search for secreted documents, the Insight
investigation of mysteriously “lost” White House e-mails and “missing” White
House long-distance telephone records is turning up still more surprises.
Investigators say the recovered documents will be extremely helpful in
determining who has not told the truth about key conversations and
transactions. Issues include perjury, conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
As Insight has been reporting since December 1998, White House
principals were aware two years ago that the allegedly “missing” evidence had
not been turned over as required under the subpoenas (see “Looking for
Information in All the Wrong Places” and “Computer Glitch Leads to Trove of
‘Lost’ E-Mails at White House,” Dec. 28, 1998.). And in late 1998 Panetta’s
office confirmed to Insight not only the existence of the now-controversial
e-mails but the long-distance telephone records as well. Now Insight has
confirmed from one of its many interviews with federal investigators that
Panetta also knew about one or two telephone lines installed at the White House
for direct communications with the DNC.
During questioning, the former California congressman also revealed
knowledge about telephone solicitations made by Clinton and Gore during 1996
fund-raising efforts. He said he knew little about the actual calls but was
aware of a special phone in the West Wing and another elsewhere. He couldn’t
remember where.
Clinton has said that he did make calls on behalf of the DNC and,
presumably, for his own reelection committee, but he claimed he didn’t do it
often and couldn’t remember when or where. Gore has said that he, too, made
such calls from the White House complex but that he used a telephone calling
card provided by the DNC and therefore no laws were broken as there was “no
controlling legal authority.”
Alas, no one could check these stories because the White House long
maintained that there were no detailed telephone records. Then, two years ago,
White House officials discovered that some calls placed by either Clinton or
Gore improperly were billed to “White House” lines and reimbursement was sought
for $24.20 from the DNC to offset taxpayer expense. Federal law-enforcement
investigators began wondering how the White House could search telephone
records it consistently has said it doesn’t have, and about which it says there
never were call-billing details.
As Insight followed up on all of this, it was told of at least two
telephones installed at the White House in 1996 for use by the DNC and White
House personnel, possibly the ones referred to by Panetta. Now Insight has
found at least two previously unknown phone lines installed in 1997 at the Old
Executive Office Building, or OEOB, for use by the DNC and White House staff.
The DNC phones installed in 1997 were put in by an official at the White
House Office of Political Affairs. Charges for these telephones, located in
offices on the first and second floors of the OEOB, were to be billed to the
DNC according to memos and other sources secured by Insight. The phones not
only were ordered by a White House official, they were installed by White House
personnel on a rush basis. This had been done before, according to Insight
sources, and that was confirmed by review of White House records.
When Insight called Cynthia Jasso-Rodman in the White House political
office on April 12 and asked about those special DNC phone lines, she said
“yes” she could help to clarify the matter, then paused for a long while,
placed us on hold for two minutes and came back on the line to transfer the
call to the press office. A press aide said she didn’t know anything about the
matter we raised and promptly forwarded the call to a press-office voice
mailbox where a recording suggested we call back later.
When Insight asked federal law-enforcement and congressional offices
about the newly discovered DNC-related phone lines, everyone expressed
surprise. A Burton aide said the congressman wasn’t aware of them and promised
to look into it. Ditto federal law enforcement.
Now Insight has obtained still more new documents and interviews
confirming that there is a substantial number of other internal memos not
previously searched or turned over concerning general telephone records, the
DNC-related telephone lines and data associated with a computer system called
the White House Office Data Base, or WHODB (see Insight’s Webwire for earlier
investigative reports about this computer and dodgy fund raising).
Insight just has discovered, for instance, that despite claims of the
White House, and weeks of hearings concerning the WHODB by Indiana Rep. David
McIntosh’s House Government Reform subcommittee two years ago, there was a
WHODB link set up for other outside offices not previously known, including the
Treasury Department. Does that mean the IRS, or were these politicos watching
… who and what?
This is interesting in a broader context because it was always
McIntosh’s opinion that WHODB was improperly used for political purposes, a
charge the White House denied. Although a criminal referral was sent to the
Justice Department, it still sits there without action more than a year after
receipt from the subcommittee.
But it wasn’t just Congress that felt strongly about this, according to
yet more breaking news obtained by Insight: Freeh also believed the WHODB may
have been used illegally to further alleged wrongdoing in the Clinton/Gore/DNC
fund-raising mess. In fact, in a still-secret memo to the Justice Department,
Freeh cited the WHODB as one of the many reasons to argue for the appointment
of an independent counsel, as did others at Justice whom Reno ultimately
rebuffed.
And, in a shocking revelation, Freeh also felt the need to seek an
independent counsel because of information the Campaign Task Force obtained
suggesting the clandestine use of private investigators by Clinton intimates to
probe one or more persons who made illegal donations to several coffers,
including the Presidential Legal Expense Trust. Monies allegedly paid to hire
these P.I.s were drawn from a special fund used to help Clinton on a variety of
matters.
The manner in which payments were made for these alleged investigations
lay at the center of a line of reasoning Freeh used in his pleas to Reno, and
which LaBella always had used, that the problem involved a pattern of abuses,
not just a specific instance of wrongdoing, a federal law-enforcement source
confirms.
“All hell will break loose when these memos are made public,” says a
second federal source, who is aware of the allegations that private
investigators were used to probe at least one, and possibly three, high-profile
campaign contributors to several of Clinton’s fund-raising organizations.
And this source confirmed separate details that have been mentioned in
the press that a former senior Justice Department official who reported
directly to Reno strongly supported the call for her to appoint an independent
counsel to probe Gore because of direct testimony that contradicted the vice
president concerning what he said he did or knew about the allegedly illegal
fund-raising schemes.

America’s children are graduated from the 12th grade with a 9th grade
proficiency test. They can’t read, write, think for themselves, count change
when the power goes off the cash register, or have a clue what Mother Nature

It is too much to expect of the President and Representatives we, the stupid
government, elect. To provide we, the stupid, taxpaying government, with the
information as to why this Judeo-Christian society won’t set the precedent
to purge THE REAL WORLD of indigent, starving (including 400,000 American
children), and homeless, poverty-stricken parasites. By demanding every
business adhere to Mother Nature (reality), demand that every business
market the cost of every employees living (union wage), their business
profit, and ALL TAXES, in the retail cost of their product or service.
Capitalisms demand that everyone live on wages or profit from an independent
business and use the designated, common, monetary, denominator (money) to
identify the agreed to value of the buyer and seller in a free, competitive,
market. The Constitutions demand that government collects no tax to fund any
selfish interest or individual and Liberty ends where everyone else’s nose
begins.
Parasites are volunteers without wages. Scab labor with insufficient wages.
Slicks who DEMAND the “RIGHT” to work for fewer wages than they can live on
(including farmers). Slick Holy Hucksters living on unearned, tax deductible
donations. Slave labor children delivering newspapers and pushing Amish
plows, and Slaves working for outsourcers, in sweat shops and labor camps
for less wages than they can live on in THE REAL WORLD.
Neither political party’s Bosses allow a plank in their party’s platform.
Demanding everyone adhere to Mother Nature’s (reality) and Capitalism’s

market, to effectively purge every community, state and nation of indigent,
