   Oh, this is the same story we’ve heard before about how Gore "stole"
   the election.  You could write a similar article about how Bush tried
   to obstruct hand recounts, ran out the clock, &c.

   Personally, I’m not all that impressed by either of those.  We have a
   messy election law, a messy technology (at least in some counties),
   and I see enough self-serving arguments on both sides to go around.
